Solutions
Industrial electrical engineering
Looking for a complete solution for the electrical side of your machines or production installations? We handle the entire process, from design and engineering to installation and commissioning.
Our EPLAN designers create detailed electrical schematics, with particular attention to safety, reliability and the applicable standards. We then build our electrical control and distribution panels entirely in-house. Our experts also take care of the cabling, cable calculations and the connection of machines and installations. This guarantees a professional integration in which all electrical components work together seamlessly.

-
Retrofit of control cabinets
Renewing outdated control cabinets, so your installation runs safely and reliably again.
-
Machine safety
Light curtains, emergency stops and signalling that make your machines safer.
-
Energy metering and monitoring
Insight into the consumption of your machines, as a basis for more efficient production.
Our expertise
Elenco, your expert in industrial electrical engineering
Industrial electrical engineering has been the foundation of Elenco since the company was founded. Thanks to our complete solution, the entire project stays in-house. From the very first design, we think along with you about the needs of your production process and tailor the electrical installation fully to the application. From drawing the electrical schematics to building, installing and connecting control and distribution panels: our own team takes care of every step. That guarantees short lines of communication, smooth execution and a focused approach to technical challenges.
We also make your machines and production environment safer and easier to use. Think of installing safety light curtains, additional safety push buttons and red and green signal lights on production lines. That is how we deliver reliable electrical installations, ready for safe and efficient production.

Frequently asked questions
Questions about industrial electrical engineering
Here you’ll find answers to the questions customers ask us most often about industrial electrical engineering. Is your question not listed? Our experts are happy to help.
-
Do you build the electrical cabinets yourselves?
Our electricians build the control and distribution cabinets in our own workshop in Genk. We also test them there, so the installation on site runs smoothly.
-
Do you also draw the electrical schematics?
Our EPLAN designers work out the electrical schematics down to the last detail, fully in line with the applicable safety standards. On delivery, we hand over the complete documentation and EPLAN schematics.
-
Do you carry out cable calculations?
For every installation, we calculate the right cable cross-sections and protective devices, taking into account the power, cable length, voltage drop and the way the cables are laid. That keeps your installation safe, compliant with the applicable standards and not needlessly oversized. We then also provide the cabling and connect the machines on site according to the schematic.
-
When is a retrofit of an electrical installation recommended?
A retrofit is advisable when parts are no longer available (end-of-life), breakdowns become more frequent or an inspection reveals significant shortcomings. A retrofit also offers a solution for machine extensions, stricter safety requirements, or missing or outdated electrical schematics. We modernise the control and distribution cabinets and the cabling, while keeping components that are still reliable and suitable. This extends the service life of your installation, increases operational reliability and makes your machine ready for the future, without having to invest straight away in a completely new machine.
-
Do you also arrange the inspection of the electrical installation?
The inspection is carried out by an accredited, independent inspection body. If you already work with a regular inspection partner, we coordinate the inspection with them. If you do not have a partner yet, we arrange it for you. Our project manager is always present during the inspection, so any comments can be discussed and followed up quickly. Where needed, we make the necessary adjustments so that your electrical installation complies with the applicable regulations.
-
Which standards do your electrical installations comply with?
In Belgium, the AREI/RGIE (General Regulations on Electrical Installations) forms the basis for the safety and compliance of electrical installations. We also take into account the relevant European and international standards, such as NBN EN 60204-1 for the electrical equipment of machines, the NBN EN IEC 61439 series for low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies, and IEC 60364 for low-voltage electrical installations. This ensures a safe and reliable installation that is ready for inspection and contributes to your machine’s conformity with the applicable CE requirements.
-
Can you work during a production stop or shutdown?
We certainly can! The summer months and the Christmas period are often busy times for us, because many companies schedule planned production stops then. Those moments are ideal for replacing critical components, modernising installations or carrying out maintenance work, without causing extra disruption to regular production. For larger projects where a short installation time is essential, we also work at weekends if needed. This keeps production downtime to a minimum and gets your production line up and running again quickly.
