This summer, we carried out an extensive safety upgrade of an existing production line. Not a completely new machine, but a thorough modernisation of an existing installation so that it once again fully complies with current safety standards.

What does this safety upgrade include?
In this project, we carried out the following work, among other things:
- Modifications to the existing control cabinet;
- Installation of a new control cabinet with fail-safe I/O;
- Integration of a safety PLC;
- Installation of safety scanners, safety gate locks and emergency stops;
- Rewiring of existing safety functions;
- Changes to electrical schematics;
- PLC software updates;
- Extension of the HMI with clear safety diagnostics.
By optimising electrical engineering, software and safety components together, the result is once again an integrated safety system that is ready for years of reliable use.
